Permissions

plugin.yml is the authoritative list. default: op means operators have it, default: true means everyone has it.

NodeDefaultEnforcedCovers
tessera.adminopyesEvery gated subcommand, the admin dashboard, and the give and delete buttons inside the GUIs. Accepted in place of any other node below.
tessera.getopyes/tessera get
tessera.giveopyes/tessera give
tessera.giveallopyes/tessera giveall
tessera.repairopyes/tessera repair
tessera.menutruenoIntended for the catalog GUI.
tessera.recipetruenoIntended for the recipe viewer.
tessera.inspecttruenoIntended for /tessera inspect.
tessera.hattruenoIntended for /tessera hat.
tessera.sittruenoIntended for sitting.
tessera.hudtruenoIntended for the HUD toggle.
tessera.convertopnoDeclared for a migration engine that has no subcommand.

Enforced means the node is checked somewhere in the code. The six nodes marked no default to true anyway, so they have no effect today. Revoking one does not block the matching command, so a locked-down server has to restrict those commands some other way.

Checks in the command handler

Handlers accept either their own node or tessera.admin:

get tessera.get or tessera.admin
give tessera.give or tessera.admin
giveall tessera.giveall or tessera.admin
drop tessera.drop or tessera.admin
durability tessera.durability or tessera.admin
repair tessera.repair or tessera.admin
cmd, stats, export, debug, welcome, reload,
killfurniture, cleartemp, pack, block remove,
furniture remove tessera.admin

Two nodes that are checked but not declared

/tessera drop checks tessera.drop and /tessera durability checks tessera.durability. Neither node is declared in plugin.yml, so it has no default and no description. Operators pass through tessera.admin. For anyone else you have to grant the node explicitly in your permission plugin.

Node names in config comments

Comments inside config.yml mention nodes such as tessera.user.give and tessera.command.menu. Those names are not used anywhere in the code. Use the nodes on this page.

Per-element gates

Two things are permission-gated outside the command handler:

  • HUD elements. An element with a permission key is skipped for players who lack it. See Glyphs and HUD.
  • Recipes. A recipe with a permission key is gated on crafting. See Recipes.
