Soft dependencies only affect load order. See Configuration for the current state of the hooks section.

Steps

  1. Put Tessera.jar into plugins/.
  2. Start the server. Tessera creates plugins/Tessera/ with config.yml, the module folders and one example file per module.
  3. Open config.yml and set pack.server.domain to a host your players can reach, then make sure the port in pack.server.port is open. The default is 8085.
  4. Edit the YAML files, then run /tessera reload.

What the first run creates

plugins/Tessera/
  config.yml
  items/ruby.yml
  blocks/ruby_block.yml
  furniture/oak_chair.yml
  recipes/ruby_recipes.yml
  glyphs/default_glyphs.yml
  hud/default_hud.yml
  lang/ en.yml, uk.yml, de.yml, es.yml
  pack/ generated pack sources
imports/ drop external .zip packs here
tessera-pack.zip built and hashed on boot

Empty module folders are created as well: items/, blocks/, furniture/, recipes/, fonts/, glyphs/ and hud/. Every .yml and .yaml file inside them is loaded, including files in subfolders.

Boot sequence

On enable, and again on /tessera reload, Tessera:

  1. loads config.yml and the language file selected by core.language,
  2. loads items, blocks, furniture, recipes, glyphs and HUD elements from their folders,
  3. generates the resource pack and writes tessera-pack.zip,
  4. starts the embedded pack HTTP server,
  5. starts the HUD ticker and the imports watcher.

Verify

Run /tessera info. It prints the plugin version, the number of registered items, blocks, furniture, recipes, glyphs and HUD elements, and the pack server state with its URL.
